Started in 2018, the Department of obstetrics and gynaecology offers both outpatient and inpatient services. We deal with high-risk pregnancies with pre-exiting medical conditions such as cardiac diseases, hypertension, blood disorders and renal diseases. We also handle pregnant renal transplant patients, pre-term deliveries, premature rupture of membranes (PROM) and intra-uterine growth retardation (IUGR).

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
This is a state-of-the-art unit aimed at taking care of neonates born with a need for immediate and urgent medical care. A senior experienced neonatologist is in charge of the unit with a pediatrician and NICU nurses working round the clock to take care of neonates.
Excellent infection control precautions and respiratory and cardiovascular support practices result in very good outcomes.

Dr. Karpagam Muraliis a Senior obstetrician and Gynaecologist with nearly 20 years of experience in this field. She is highly skilled in handling high risk pregnancies and acute obstetric emergencies. She is well-trained in laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and vaginal surgeries. She is former secretary of the Coimbatore Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society. She has presented widely at various National Conferences and has given keynote addresses in various conferences. She has a passion for community service and concern for women’s health.
Dr.Kavitha Rajkumar MS(OG) DNB(OG), DRM(Germany)
Dr.Kavitha is a Senior Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology department with over 19 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is a specialist in Reproductive Medicine and has over a decade of experience in the field of Infertility. She earned her Diploma in Reproductive Medicine (DRM) from the University of Schleswig Holstein Campus, Kiel, Germany. She is well-trained in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Infertility Surgeries and procedures. She practices evidence-based treatment and is also actively involved in academic programs. She believes in compassion and quality treatment for all patients and strives to improve women’s health and childcare in in her community.
