Our Founders

This institution was founded by Dr K S Ramalingam, Nephrologist and Dr Jansi Ramalingam, Pathologist in the year 1991. Kuttapalayam Songappan Ramalingam, youngest of three sons of K C Songappan and Alamelu of Kuttapalayam, Kolanalli in Erode Taluk of Erode District, Tamilnadu, is a graduate from Stanley Medical College, Chennai and postgraduate in medicine from the same college. He specialised in Nephrology at Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai in the years, 1975 -1977. Dr K S Ramalingam worked in Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai as a junior nephrologist and as a nephrologist in Apollo Hospitals, Chennai.

Dr Jansi Ramalingam, the eldest daughter of A P Rathinam and Jaya Rathinam of Anaimalai, Pollachi Taluk, Tamilnadu, is a graduate from Thanjavur Medical College and a post-graduate of Kilpauk Medical College in Pathology. She completed pathology in the year 1985. Dr. Jansi Ramalingam worked as Assistant professor of pathology in PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Coimbatore. They both jointly founded the Coimbatore Kidney Centre in 1991.
